VANESSA ALDAZ

Pronouns: She / Her

Vanessa was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, which gave her so much love for this city. Growing up here she has seen how it has changed over the years, and it allows her to see how small changes can make such a big impact.

Beginning her career in the Credit Union world in 2017, Vanessa started as a Member Services Representative with Point West Credit Union. She has always been driven to learn and grow in my roles, as well as help out those around me. The credit union philosophy of "people helping people" is what allowed Vanessa to continue to move up in her career, and take on multiple roles during her time at Point West. Helping members achieve their financial goals allowed Vanessa to learn so much in her time at the branch, and when she transitioned to a back office position in accounting, her manager helped me create a path that allowed me to be in the role she has always been passionate about.

As the Training Coordinator, Vanessa’s main focus is coordinating the development and training of new hires and existing staff. She wants to ensure that her colleagues are equipped with the knowledge and training to not only help members, but feel confident in their career path and achieve their goals. Vanessa loves getting to help those around her each and every day.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys gaming with friends, crocheting, musicals, trying new restaurants and finding new shows to binge watch.
